CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) COURSES

Magnolia High School offers Career Technical Education (CTE) classes that are embedded into the regular school day. Many of our CTE classes are taught through the North Orange County Regional Occupational Program (ROP). The North Orange County ROP is a partner organization offering career courses that develop practical, hand-on skills using industry-approved curriculum that is relevant in today's economy.

ROP REGIONAL CLASSES (Off-Campus/Outside of Regular School Hours)

Although there are a variety of career pathways offered at Magnolia, ROP also offers additional regional classes, which are offered off-campus during after-school hours and during the summer. The regional courses are free of charge for students at AUHSD, and course grades and credits appear on the student's high school transcript. This is an opportunity to gain additional high school credits, take courses not necessarily offered at Magnolia, and explore various career options. Registration is open all year for classes listed as "Open Entry/Exit". The Regional Course Offering documents below indicate whether a class is At Capacity, Limited Space Available, or Space Available.

Please use the notes below as a guide:

  • Review the attached regional course offering informational handouts listed below.

    • "At-a-glance" handout shows an overview of all the courses available with dates and locations.

    • "Detailed" handout is specific to the content of the courses, and any requirements or prerequisites.

  • If you are interested in applying to ROP regional classes, please contact Ms. Taguchi (taguchi_t@auhsd.us).
