PSAT / SAT / ACT
PSAT/NMSQT
The PSAT is important in measuring a student's readiness for college and providing practice for the SAT. All 10th grade students will be taking the PSAT, and those juniors who signed up to take the test. Students wanting to take a practice test to get ready can go to the College Board website. It is always recommended to take the practice tests, as there are many benefits to it.
SAT (SCHOLASTIC ASSESSMENT TEST)
A trademark for a set of standardized college entrance examinations. The SAT is intended to forecast a student's ability to perform in their 1st year of college. In addition, the majority of universities require students to take a college entrance exam as part of the application process; therefore, it is heavily rated.
For students who plan on attending a university directly after high school (A - G eligible) and enrolled in the "free to reduced lunch program", please stop by the Counseling Center to pick up an SAT fee waiver.
More information can be obtained by visiting collegeboard.org.
