MACC News

September 08, 2023

Congratulations to Yara Masadeh, a junior at Magnolia HS, who wrote an op-ed that was published today in the Voice of OC arguing that green spaces on school campuses can heal communities that struggle with finding affordable organic produce.  Yara was one of 30 students who received a paid internship through the Californian's For All, City of Anaheim grant to help students earn workforce training skills.  The 30 students at the MACC farm worked on civic action projects to help alleviate food deserts in their community.
